Founded in November of 2020 by best friends Alessia Taurasi & Taylor Underhill, we’ve been expanding our product offering which started with the now iconic "bubble candle" but now includes vessels, customization capabilities, brand collaborations and accessories. In the last 3 years since launch, we’ve built a supportive, loyal and positive community that has helped us grow to new heights we never could have expected.

Alessia Taurasi (right) and Taylor Underhill (left) co-founded Smellies at only 23 and 24 years old. What emerged as a Covid fever dream between the two of them (honestly looking for a way to stay sane during the pandemic) grew to a dynamite brand, shipping internationally, entirely self-funded and powered by two young women.
There's no denying that building a business while juggling full-time careers and friendship has been tough, but these two have been fuelled by the joy that growing this business has brought to them.
